Hog 2.6 is one of the most famous fast-cycle decks in Clash Royale history, named after its average elixir cost of roughly 2.6. The goal isn't to build big pushes. Instead, you defend efficiently with cheap cards and cycle Hog Rider faster than your opponent can cycle back to their answer, chipping the tower again and again.
Game plan
Don't rush at the start. Open with a cheap card (Skeletons, Ice Spirit) to learn your opponent's deck, and send your first Hog Rider after they've spent elixir. Each Hog hit looks small, but the damage adds up over the match.
Cannon and Musketeer are the backbone of your defense. Pull the opposing tank into Cannon and shoot it down with Musketeer from behind; this wins you elixir and lets you punish in the opposite lane with Hog right away. Fireball and The Log clear support troops on defense and finish towers late in the game.
The deck gets even stronger in double elixir: right after your opponent uses their Hog counter, you can send Hog again before that card comes back to their hand.
Cards and their roles
Hog Rider4 elixir Win condition. Fast, targets buildings only and jumps over the river. Sent at the tower once per cycle.
Ice Spirit1 elixir One-elixir freeze. Stops a troop on defense, or briefly freezes the defender in front of your Hog.
Skeletons1 elixir The cheapest cycle card. Distracts single-target troops like Mini P.E.K.K.A and Prince and gets you back to Hog faster.
Ice Golem2 elixir Cheap tank. Soaks damage in front of Hog, kites troops on defense and slows everything nearby when it dies.
The Log2 elixir Small spell. Clears cheap cards like Goblin Barrel, Princess and Goblin Gang.
Cannon3 elixir Defensive building. Pulls ground tanks and building-targeting cards like Hog to the middle.
Musketeer4 elixir Main air defense and your damage dealer behind a tank. Valuable, so keep it safe from your opponent's Fireball.
Fireball4 elixir Medium spell. Takes out Musketeer, Wizard, Barbarians and similar cards; finishes towers late.
Tips
Track your opponent's Hog counter (a building, Tornado, Mini P.E.K.K.A and so on) and send Hog when it isn't in their hand.
Place Cannon in the middle between your towers so it pulls tanks from either lane.
Don't Fireball the tower alone. Its real value comes when it hits a support troop and the tower together.
When you're ahead, stop forcing attacks. Defend and wait for your opponent to make a mistake.
Strong against
Against slow beatdown decks: when your opponent drops an expensive card like Golem, you punish immediately with Hog in the other lane.
Against siege decks (X-Bow, Mortar): Hog quickly locks onto those buildings.
Struggles against
Against strong air decks such as LavaLoon: you have few air-targeting cards, and losing Musketeer hurts.
Against decks with lots of buildings or strong Hog counters: if every Hog is answered, chip damage is hard to build up.
